My Prom Dress
I designed this dress for my senior prom; it took me many months, and I’m proud of the final product.
The overall dress wasn’t inspired by much; it was truly just a recreation of many prom dresses I had seen online in my own way. I wanted very specific fabric and colours for it.
Over the course of the process of designing and creating this garment, certain aspects I had in the original drawing went away. As I went further into making the gown, I scrapped certain ideas, like having the slit or the sleeves. The draping over the bust was scrapped because it just wasn’t possible with the fabric I had chosen
